Which e-liquid to choose?

Which e-liquid to choose?

Our e-liquids are flavoured blends, composed of pharmaceutical grade propylene glycol (PG), pharmaceutical grade vegetable glycerin (VG), and food flavours.

It is this liquid heated between 50 and 70°C that will produce the steam.

Therefore, the choice of your e-liquid is just as important as the choice of your electronic cigarette model.

4 criteria are to be taken into consideration in order to know which e-liquid to choose:

The composition
The nicotine dosage
The aromas
The size of the vials

Composition of the e-liquid:

Propylene Glycol (or PG) is a member of the glycol ether family. It is commonly used in the cosmetics, medical and food industries. Propylene glycol is considered to be of low toxicity in humans. It has the particularity of vaporizing from 50° and favors the "hit" (contraction of the pharynx during the passage of steam), sought by the smoker.

Vegetable glycerin (or VG), is part of the polyol family. Vegetable glycerin is often used in food products (additive E422 in Europe) and does not present a health hazard when used in the required proportions. Vegetable glycerin (or VG) also vaporizes at low temperatures. It produces more steam than propylene glycol, with a slightly sweet taste.

Food flavours give their flavours to steam and do not exceed 10% in our e-liquids

Finally, nicotine, in liquid and pure form, is obtained by extracting tobacco leaves. It is an alkaloid which, in low doses, has a stimulating effect and is quickly eliminated by the body.

Proportion of propylene glycol / vegetable glycerin (PG/VG)

Propylene Glycol and Vegetable Glycerin are the bases used to produce steam. Indeed, these liquids have the property of vaporizing at low temperature (50/70°C) by forming a vapor giving the illusion of cigarette smoke.

The mixture (PG/VG) offers a beautiful alternative by allowing to benefit from the advantages of Propylene Glycol and vegetable Glycerin. The standard proportion is 60% propylene glycol and 40% vegetable glycerin.

By increasing the percentage of glycerin the smoke will be more abundant and the hit a little less present

Our conventional e-liquids are prepared from a 60/40 PG/VG base which corresponds to a base of 60% propylene glycol and 0% vegetable glycerin

All our premiums e-liquids are dosed 50/50 PG/VG without alcohol and without water

Which nicotine level to choose?

Determining the correct nicotine dosage is not easy for the simple reason that the distribution of nicotine in the blood differs according to the method of administration.

For cigarette smoke, each puff releases a large quantity of nicotine into the blood, this is called a shoot, the absorption of nicotine is very rapid via the pulmonary tract, which produces peaks in nicotine concentration in the blood at each puff. It only takes 7 seconds to get nicotine from the lips to the brain.

On the contrary, a recent study showed that nicotine administered by an electronic cigarette was mainly administered through the oral mucosa, with the respiratory tract accounting for only 15% of assimilation. The nicotine inhaled is therefore 5 to 10 times lower than that of a conventional cigarette and without concentration peaks.

The role of nicotine in our e-liquids:

It acts on the "hit" contraction of the throat as the steam passes: the higher the nicotine dosage, the more you will feel in the throat, "hit". On the other hand, the absence of nicotine will provide almost no throat sensation. The Hit, which reproduces the sensation of smoking, is therefore an important factor in the choice of e-liquid nicotine.

It fills the gap felt during the first few days of use: the other very important point of a successful smoking cessation is to have the necessary dose of nicotine in your blood at all times. As we have seen, the nicotine inhaled is 5 and 10 times lower than that of a conventional cigarette. It will take longer to be weaned, so don't worry if you spray all the time during the first few days. As you go along, your consumption should decrease until it reaches its cruising speed. Indeed, nicotine alone has a limited addictive power, it is its association with other chemicals present in cigarette smoke such as harmanes that causes addiction.

Choice of nicotine dosage in our e-liquids:

In order to know which e-liquid to choose, know that we offer:

4 nicotine levels for the Classic range: 0 mg/ml, 6 mg/ml, 12 mg/ml, 18 mg/ml

4 levels of nicotine for the Absoluto range and the PemP 5 range: 3 mg/ml 5 mg/ml, 10 mg/ml, 15 mg/ml

If you are highly dependent on nicotine we advise you to opt for liquids initially dosed from 15 mg/ml to 18 mg/ml of nicotine combined with a powerful electronic cigarette variable voltage allowing you to increase the amount of steam and the hit in the throat.

If you are moderately dependent on nicotine, we recommend that you use eliquids dosed between 10 and 12 mg/ml of nicotine

If you are slightly dependent on nicotine we recommend liquids dosed at 3 to 6 mg/ml of nicotine

If you are not addicted to nicotine, we recommend that you use liquids without nicotine. The absence of nicotine will reduce hitt, so it is better to favour fresh, invigorating and original flavours, such as our Tonic Citrus Flavours, extra-fresh Alaska mint, or our reinvented "snake juice", Mamba.

If you are a non-smoker, avoid nicotine liquids at all. In regular smokers, the number of nicotine receptors is considerably increased, thus limiting the effects of nicotine, but for non-smokers the risk of dependence and overdose is very real!

Nicotine and its effects on the body:

Nicotine is a stimulant alkaloid in low doses, quickly eliminated by the body, but toxic in high doses and can be addictive if consumed regularly.
The use of nicotine e-liquids is therefore strongly discouraged if you are a non-smoker, pregnant, breastfeeding, or if you present serious risks of cardiovascular diseases.
Be aware of the signs of nicotine overdose: headaches, nausea, vomiting...
In case of such symptoms, immediately stop all nicotine consumption and consult a doctor.
In case of subcutaneous contact, rinse immediately with water.
In case of accidental ingestion, call immediately on 15 or the poison control centre near your home.
Store your e-liquids in a dry and cool place, away from light.
Finally, never leave your e-liquids and electronic cigarettes within reach of children.

Which Perfume to choose?

Follow your preferences, your desires and dare to vary the flavours according to your pleasure and the times of day.

We have several flavors. Mints, tobaccos, fruits and gourmands. You will necessarily find the flavours that suit you.

The brand new vaporizer will first look for a taste as close as possible to that of tobacco. Some of our e-liquids do a good job of imitating some of the major characteristics of the most famous cigarettes, but none of them will be able to reproduce the taste of burning tobacco: so don't expect to find exactly the taste of "your" cigarettes. As soon as the taste buds become a little more functional again, tastes quickly turn to e-liquids with more fruity, exotic, gourmet or spicy flavours....

What are the consumption equivalents of our e-liquids and tobacco cigarettes?

We can only talk about estimation, the consumption varying according to the material used, the duration, the frequency and the mode of inspiration.

The number of cigarettes smoked per day can give you an indication of the daily dose of e-liquid required.

A ratio derived from the experiment and validated by the vaporizers is 1.8 ml e-liquid for 1 pack of cigarettes. In other words, a 10 ml bottle of e-liquid = 5.5 packs of cigarettes.

This ratio is variable compared to the vaporization system used in your e-cigarette but as an indication, for a former smoker who consumed 20 cigarettes per day, a 10 ml bottle will last on average between 4 and 6 days.
